29th Annual Ashburn Farm 10K/5K/2K Thanksgiving Day Run

This year, the 29th Annual Ashburn Farm 10K| 5K | 2k run is raising funds for the local regional and international missions of Crossroads UMC. Crossroads serves children and families in Ashburn, Loudoun County, DC, Guatemala and Uganda.
~ 23-year relationship supporting students in Uganda
~ Friendship Bridge – offering financial assistance to folks in Loudoun County experiencing a temporary financial crisis
~ Warming the homeless – a mission to provide Coats and Boots to the unhoused in DC and in Loudoun County.
~ School break bundles – helping to provide food for children who are food insecure and may not have food at home during school holidays
~ Thanksgiving Baskets – providing food for a traditional Thanksgiving meal to children and their families in DC and Loudoun County
~ Bells and Lights – a mission where Crossroads families can help provide Christmas gifts to local families
~ 7-year relationship building simple homes for families in Guatemala
~ English as a Second Language (ESL) classes offered twice a year

Donate: Food, Water, or Door Prizes
Volunteers needed! Race Day and Before. Sign up online or sign up Sunday mornings at Crossroads.
Course Setup: Staging equipment and placing signs in preparation for race day.
Wednesday November 23
Thursday November 28
Course Marshals/Flaggers – Training provided to help provide traffic control on race courses (must be 18 years old).
Course Sentry – Provide directions to runners at starting line and on 2K course.
T-Shirt and Race Bag Prep – Help sort t-shirts Tuesday Evening November 22.
Wednesday Registration and Packet Pickup – 3 shifts as runners register and pickup their registration packet:
1:30 – 4pm
3:30 – 6pm
5:30 – 8pm
Thursday Registration and Packet Pickup –
6:45 to 8am.
Food Prep –
Wednesday November 23 6pm – Prep and stage the food and water for runners
Thursday Race Day – prepare coffee pre-race and stage food for runners once the races begin
Water Stop – Race Day –
On 10K Race – Prepare cups of water at the 3 mile mark of the 10K race and hand to runners.
Finish Line – hand bottles of water to finishing runners
Photographer – help record race day activities
Clean-up – Help clean up the building and grounds of Crossroads post race.
