Alternative Gift Market

Crossroads is excited to announce our first ever Alternative Gift Market (AGM). Have you started your Holiday Shopping and don’t know what to get someone? This socially conscious gift market might just be what you are looking for! The AGM is designed to create a convenient, one stop experience for those seeking to make their own charitable contributions or to make donations in lieu of traditional holiday gifts. Shoppers can review and choose from up to 25 predetermined, tax deductible donation packages. Each purchase is accompanied by an attractive holiday gift card and insert describing your gift to the beneficiary organization. You will also receive a receipt for tax purposes with every purchase.
Gift items cover the cost of a good or service provided by the charity. For example: $50 provides a night of shelter for a woman and two children; $100 provides a month of health care coverage for an area child; $20 provides healthy food for a local resident; $10 provides children’s books.
Participating local and international organizations include: Anna-Sudha, Crossroads Jobs, Crossroads UMC, Dulles South Food Pantry, Equality Loudoun, Food for Neighbors, Friends of Homeless Animals, Just Neighbors, LAWS, Legal Services of Northern Virginia, Loudoun Cares, Loudoun Habitat for Humanity, Loudoun Hunger Relief, Loudoun Literacy Council, Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers, Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, Northern Virginia Family Services, OAR, Ryan Bartel Foundation, Creating Friendships for Peace, Challenge, Global Camps Africa, Leadership Mission International, Porch de Salomon and Fundacion Vuya.
