Thanksgiving Baskets

This year Crossroads will be providing Thanksgiving Baskets to families at Payne Elementary in Southeast DC and throughout Loudoun County. There are many ways you can help serve in this mission.

SHOP FOR NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS AND PURCHASE GROCERY STORE GIFT CARDS – A LIST OF ITEMS TO BE PURCHASED AND INCLUDED IN EACH BASKET ARE THE FOLLOWING

• $25 GIANT/HARRIS TEETER Gift Card
• Stuffing (1 bag or 2 boxes)
• Cranberry Sauce (2 cans)
• Rolls (1 package -brown ‘n serve)
• Canned Corn -whole kernel or cream (3-12oz. cans)
• Canned String Beans or Peas (3- 12oz. cans)
• White Potatoes – fresh (5 lb. bag)
• Yams (2 cans or 6 med. Fresh)
• Butter (1lb.)
• 1 packet of Turkey Gravy Mix

PURCHASE GIANT OR HARRIS TEETER GIFT CARDS –
Families will be given a $25 gift card to purchase a turkey and/or ham and other perishable items. 

DELIVER THANKSGIVING BASKETS TO FAMILIES OF STUDENTS AT TRAILSIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL
Some families will be hand delivered Thanksgiving Baskets to their homes in Ashburn. Delivery will be on Saturday, November 18th, anytime between 11-2pm. 

MAKE A MONETARY DONATION and we will shop for you!

Make a monetary donation in worship or online. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. A $50 donation will purchase an entire basket including the gift card. You can donate here.

VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED to sort baskets on Sunday November 19th from 6-8pm. DRIVERS WILL ALSO BE NEEDED on Monday, November 20th to deliver baskets to Payne Elementary in DC and Trailside Elementary in Ashburn.

The baskets need to be returned to Crossroads on Sunday, November 19th between 6-8pm or Monday, November 20th, between 8-9am. In order for the basket distribution to be equitable, please include only the items listed above.
